ICT, or Information and Communications Technology, is an umbrella term used to encompass different communication technologies.

ICT is sometimes used synonymously with IT (for information technology); however, ICT is generally used to represent a broader, more comprehensive list of all components related to computer and digital technologies than IT.

World Wide Web (WWW) - is an information system on the internet that allows documents to be connected to other documents.

Web Page - a hypertext document connected to the World Wide Web
  • Static Web Page - also known as flat page. A stationary page in the sense that the page is "as is" and it can not be manipulated by the user.
  • Dynamic Web Page - allows users to interact with the page. Users may be able to comment or create a user account.
Website - a location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more pages on the World Wide Web

Web Browser - a software application for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.

    2. I see Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web, but do you know the the reason why he made it? Because I think World Wide Web is entirely different at the time when Mr. Berners-Lee created it. I hope you answer my question because I am really curious.

    3. Originally, he invented and developed the worl wide web to meet the demand for automatic information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around the world. Remember that he was a scientist, and during that time they have difficulty on sharing information.

Surely, internet already paved its way durinf his time but has limited functions. During that time, there were different information on different computers and you had to log on to different computers just to get it.

Tim Berners Lee thought of a way to solve this problem. He realizd that they could share information by exploiting an emerging technology called hypertext.

I hope i answered your curiosity. If you have other questions, feel free to comment. :)

    1. Yes. A Web browser is actually a software application that runs on your Internet-connected computer. It allows you to view Web pages, as well as use other content and technologies such as video, graphics files, and digital certificates and others. A website refers to a central location that contains more than one web page. For example, TechnoWeb is considered a website, which includes different web pages, including this web page you are reading now.

    1. A website is a collection of webpages that are under 1 domain (such as coolwebsite.com). For example if there is a company that owns abccompany.com then this website will have several Webpages like Home, About Us, Contact Us, Testimonials, Products, Services, FAQ’s, and others. All of these pages together make up a Website.

    1. As of November 2017, Philippines was ranked to as 101st in the “Measuring the Information Society Report" by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The report noted that despite having a largely duopoly market, the Philippines has achieved a high level of basic mobile access and has deployed the latest wireless and fixed technologies with high download speeds — at least in urban areas.

According to the latest data, ICT development show continued progress in connectivity and use of ICTs. There has been sustained growth in the availability of communications in the past decade, led by growth in mobile cellular telephony and, more recently, in mobile-broadband (Newsbytes.ph).

  9. Does all of the web browser are safe to use?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Different browsers handle user data in different ways. They were all safe to use as long as you practice good security habits and you know how to manage your browser's settings such as allowing and blocking selected websites, blocking pop ups and browsing in private. Additionally, different browsers have their own strengths and weaknesses. You just have to ensure that you are running the latest version of your chosen browser that your operating system will support and, also, be sure to download and install the latest updates.

  10. What is the different between web pages and website?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The difference between a website and a web page is that a website is a collection of web pages with information on a subject, and a web page is a smaller part of a larger website usually containing more specific information. If a website were a book, then a webpage would be a chapter in that book.

I hope i made it clear for you. Thanks!
